Nurse Practitioner Regulation Framework Implementation Plan Project (NPR-FIPP)

The NPR-FIPP was a multi-year, multi-faceted initiative that built on previous work with a goal to implement the recommendations endorsed by CCRNR regarding six basic elements of a Model for Nurse Practitioner Regulation in Canada.

Who We Are

The Canadian Council of Registered Nurse regulators (CCRNR) serves as a national collaborative of the 12 regulators of Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners across the country. We aim to advance excellence in nursing regulation in Canada in the public interest.

What We Do

As a collaborative of nursing regulatory colleges across Canada, we work on initiatives that promote public safety and serve as a national forum for the exchange of information on regulatory best practice, policies, and legislation among our members as well as our system partners in various sectors of the healthcare system. We promote an understanding of the role of nursing regulators in the context of the broader healthcare system.

Our Members

We are comprised of 12 provincial and territorial nursing regulators from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, and Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
