New Executive Coordinator Joins CCRNR
The Canadian Council of Registered Nurse Regulators (CCRNR) recently hired a new Executive Coordinator, Christine Da Prat. We extend sincere appreciation to Beth Ann Kenney who served diligently in this role since the creation of CCRNR 11 years ago and has now moved on to other opportunities.
Christine's first work with the nursing community was in early 2000 when she managed the first ever national human resource study of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs). Her work on the nursing sector study afforded her the knowledge and understanding of nursing in Canada and of the roles of the regulatory authority, professional associations, employers, unions, and educators.
Since completing the national nursing sector study, Christine continued to apply her extensive experience in facilitating national consultative meetings such as roundtable discussions, forums, and strategic planning sessions and managing national research studies and multi-stakeholder committees working with physicians and with regulators of LPNs, RPNs and RNs.
Christine is fluent in English and French and complements her experience with a B.A. in Psychology from Bishop's University and an MBA from the University of Windsor. A life-long competitive swimmer, Christine is actively involved with the local swim club and can be seen either coaching or officiating or training with the local Master's swim club.
In her new role as CCRNR’s Executive Coordinator, Christine provides administrative and management support for CCRNR and serves as the primary point of contact for CCRNR members and interested partners. As part of her work with CCRNR, Christine is the facilitator of the Canadian Nurse Regulators Collaborative (CNRC) supporting its member organizations – the LPN, RN and RPN regulatory authorities in Canada.
